We have full time well trained and experienced trichologist. While working he uses magnification loupe.

Follicle splitters:

Operating Room

We have a state of art hair transplant unit with following features… Large operation room with good air conditioning and excellent ambience, Modified operation table giving comfort, with Silicone neck pads giving extra comfort.

Most advanced Stereo microscope by Mentis for follicle dissection. Magnification loupe from Zeiss Operation room having all monitoring types of equipment to have a close watch on your vital parameters. Like continuous BP, pulse and blood oxygen monitoring.

Operation room is also equipped with gazettes to deal with the very rare life-threatening situation. Boyle’s apparatus with an oxygen cylinder, endotracheal incubation equipment, Defibrillator etc are also there. Our unit has a good power back up (high-grade power generator) in case of any power failure so as to maintain operation room temperature which is very important for precious hair follicles.

Strip Harvesting

In FUT technique we take a skin strip from the back side of the scalp. While harvesting strip due care is taken to avoid damage to nearby follicles. We use magnification loupe to avoid damage to follicles, also care is taken to avoid damage to donor site follicles while suturing. Our follicle transaction rate is negligible while harvesting strip. In all cases of FUT, we do trichophytic closure using absorbable suture so suture line is very fine and narrow

Follicle Dissection

We have STEREO MICROSCOPE (From England) for follicle dissection. These microscopes are specially designed for follicle dissection with patented technology which gives a virtual 3Dimensional picture of the follicle, so damage to follicles is nil. At the same time, there is no extra tissue around follicles and all follicles are de-epithilised. This improves faster revascularisation of follicles. Assistants are given proper training for working with these microscopes. Our follicle damage incidents are negligible.

FUE -Follicilar Unit Extraction

In FUE, using micro punch single follicle unit is extracted from the donor area and this unit is transplanted. So there is no linear scar at the donor site. No donor site morbidity (pain and stretching sensations). Limitation of this technique is that it is more time consuming and in one sitting a limited number of graft can be implanted. Experience of the surgeon is very important prerequisite for the success of this FUE. There is the risk of damage to nearby follicles while harvesting follicle by micro punch. Consumer is not aware that how many nearby follicles and extracted follicles have been damaged. FUE is good technique in experienced hand for limited number of hair follicles transplant and body hair transplant. Many surgeons are combining FUT with FUE to do large numbers of hair transplant

Safer/Vaccum Assisted Follicle Extraction Device (VAFED) for FUE

(VAFED invented by Dr. Anil Garg) or by any other method of extraction We use 0.7mm/0.9mm Follicular extraction punch which gives minimal scarring. Average follicle damage is <3% at our centre.

Note- FUE is not scar less, there are small multiple non hair bearing scars which may be hypo pigmented

DHI—DIRECT HAIR IMPLANT / DHT—DIRECT HAIR TRANSPLANT

This is a type of FUE. In this follicles are extracted individually and implanted within few minutes of extraction. Extraction of follicle can be done either by manual method, motorized or by robot. At our centre we have a special chair, on which hair DHI/DHT is done in comfortable sitting position.

Implantation of Follicles

Implantation of follicles is another very important step. It is very important to prevent damage to delicate follicles while handling them during implantation. It should be absolutely atraumatic. Stability of hand and delicate griping is necessary. We use Magnification loupe (from Zeiss) to full fill all above requirements. We use “no touch to root implantation” technique which is very advance technique and requires high precision and training.while implantation the most delicate part of hair follicle is not touched at all and we touch only skin part of hair follicles.while implantation patient watches movies and or can listen music and we also even allow to attend important phone calls.

During entire process of hair transplant patient can go out side operating room,can have tea/ coffee and in afternoon he takes lunch.so patient is fully awake and free to take breaks in between.
