

The annual conference of ISHRS held in Bangkok. This was one of the most successful meetings of ISHRS, in which 850 delegates from 66 countries participated. The conference was followed by a live surgery workshop. Dr. Anil Garg and Dr. Seema Garg of Rejuvenate Hair transplant Centre both were invited faculty at this conference.
Dr.Anil Garg was the Director of Beard and body hair workshop where he not only moderate and conduct the workshop but also presented a paper, other faculties were Dr. Robert True, Dr. Marie Shambock, Dr. Parsa Mohebi, Dr. Rajput and Dr. Seema Garg. In the workshop, Dr. Anil Garg emphasizes the role of body hair in combination with scalp graft to enhance the result of hair transplant and to increase coverage in the higher grade of baldness. The workshop and paper were well appreciated.
Dr. Anil Garg presented a paper on his research ” 3D fibrin scaffold as a graft holding media with clinical and histological evidence proving the importance of PRP as graft holding media. the graft when kept in PRP solution, the results of hair transplant are very good. Quality of hair was also improved when there out of body time is reduced and grafts are provided with the natural atmosphere of plasma as if they are in body only. PRP also provide nutrition to the follicle.
Dr. Anil Garg was also one of the faculties in the live surgery workshop which was held at KMCH hospital Bangkok on 17th November. In the live surgical workshop, the delegates were free to observe and ask questions about FUT, FUE, BHT, and SMP. This was really a great opportunity to learn all the available surgical treatment modalities.
Dr. Garg is one of the Global council members of ISHRS representing India and also a member of the fellowship training committee of ISHRS. This year ISHRS launches the campaign against the unlicensed non-Physicians doing hair transplant. The name of the campaign is “Fight against FIGHT”.All the global council member countries are supporting the campaign.
Dr. Garg was also one of the hosts in the newcomer’s orientation programme.
